The freight and logistics giant collapsed on Friday, leaving 1500 employees out of work and putting supermarket food supplies at risk.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 0.2 per cent to 7336.3 points; New Century surged 42.2 per cent to $1.09 and Johns Lyng advanced 13.2 per cent to $6.34.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 0.2 per cent to 7417.8 points, The Star fell 20.8 per cent to $1.48 and Lendlease dropped 6.1 per cent to $7.79.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 0.3 per cent to 7539 points; Nick Scali plunged 13 per cent to $10.80 and Newcrest shares rallied 9.3 per cent to $24.53.

The US economy added 517,000 jobs in January, forcing Wall Street bulls to reconsider the case for interest rate cuts in 2023, and challenging the euphoria behind ‘disinflation’.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 0.2 per cent to 7481.7. Latitude Group rallied 9.1 per cent to $1.50 and IDP Education jumped 2.9 per cent to $31.37.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index rallied 0.8 per cent to 7388.2 points, the highest level since April 2022. Bigtincan surged 13.6 per cent to 58.5¢ and Ioneer 21 per cent to 55¢.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 1.2 per cent to 7280.40. MA Financial sank 10.7 per cent to $4.42 and Fortescue Metals rose 2.8 per cent to $22.92.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index dropped 0.3 per cent to 7131. BrainChip Holdings fell 7.5 per cent to 68¢ and Premier Investments lost 5.1 per cent to $24.85.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index added 0.6 per cent to 7151.3. Essential surged 39.1 per cent to 48¢ and GQG jumped 5.7 per cent to $1.49.
