The Hallmark movie “A Newport Christmas,” which filmed in the Buffalo area for six weeks earlier this year, premieres at 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The holiday film, which premieres at 8 p.m. Nov. 2 on the Hallmark Channel, is set in Newport, R.I., but filmed here for six weeks in March and April before finishing in Newport.

On Oct. 30, "Christmas of Giving" will be the first of eight locally made holiday movies that will premiere as part of Great American Media's "Great American Christmas" holiday programming.

Warner Bros. is ready to start filming the major horror film “T.R.O.L.L.” in the Buffalo area next week. Pre-production has been underway locally for weeks with filming scheduled Oct. 6 through Nov. 21. Locations are expected to include Buffalo, Hamburg and Eden.
