Airlines slash flights to cut costs as coronavirus hits travel demand

The crisis engulfing the airline industry deepened on Tuesday as carriers cancelled flights, withdrew earnings guidance and implemented austerity measures to cope with the travel slump caused by the coronavirus outbreak.
