Just a couple days ago, the World Series of Poker released its rules for the 2025 tournament festival. Poker Cheat Ali Imsirovic Booted From RunGood Poker Series Jacksonv...

Poker cheat Ali Imsirovic was disqualified from a mid-stakes tournament Thursday evening. Thursday was the first of three starting flights in the $1,200 no-limit hold’em RunGood Poker Series main event at bestbet Jacksonville. Imsirovic was in the field and the chip leader heading to dinner break, with 30 players remaining from the 80-entry flight. However, when the players returned from dinner, Imsirovic’s stack was removed from play, and he was disqualified from the tournament. It’s still unclear whether this decision was made by bestbet or the RunGood Poker Series. Card Player has reached out for comment from both parties and is awaiting a response. While the motivation behind the move is still unknown, many are speculating that it stems from Imsirovic’s checkered past. In 2022, Imsirovic was accused of cheating by several high-stakes poker pros. The claims included ghosting, multi-accounting and the use of real-time assistance. As a result, the PokerGO Tour and the European Poker Tour banned Imsir

Maurice Hawkins Called A Scammer By Former Backers Amidst 19th Circ...

Just days after tying World Series of Poker Circuit history, Maurice Hawkins’ character is under the scrutiny of the poker world. On Wednesday evening, the Florida native won the $400 no-limit hold’em monster stack at the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Tunica stop. He bested a 571-entry field to earn $34,711 and his 19th Circuit ring. The victory tied him atop the all-time ring leaderboard with Ari Engel, who also has four WSOP bracelets. But the buzz on social media isn’t about his success. Instead, Hawkins spent the subsequent day denying claims from former backers that he stole their money. Just two days before Hawkins won his 19th Circuit title, one of Hawkins’ former backers, Randy Garcia, called Hawkins a “pathological liar and a deadbeat.” Garcia said that while he backed him for quite some time and loaned him money for bills and family obligations. But those debts were never paid back. But this wasn’t a new development. This situation was well-known and settled in court. After Garcia took legal

Bad Beat! Poker Player Mistakenly Eliminated From Tournament

Just a couple days ago, Maurice Hawkins made World Series of Poker Circuit history when he took down the Horseshoe Baltimore main event for $140,752. The victory gave Hawkins 18 Circuit titles, tying him with Ari Engel atop the all-time ring leaderboard. Days later, social media is still talking about the event, but for all the wrong reasons. Hawkins’ victory is now secondary to the controversy surrounding the third-place elimination. Divyam Satyarthi moved all in from the small blind with Q10 and Hawkins called from the big blind with A3. The board ran out K10245. It gave Satyarthi a flush and Hawkins a straight. In most situations, Satyarthi would double up and three-handed play would continue. However, nobody involved realized Satyarthi rivered a flush. The dealer mucked the cards, pushed the pot to Hawkins and Satyarthi peacefully walked to the payout desk to collect his $64,458 payout. None of the remaining players, the dealer, media, nor any staff in the area noticed that Satyarthi held a club in his

Adam Friedman Dominates Late Stages, Wins PokerGO Tour Mixed Games ...

When it comes to mixed game tournaments, few have a track record as impressive as Adam Friedman’s. The veteran poker pro added to that already lengthy résumé on Thursday afternoon when he bested a 148-entry field in the second event of the PokerGO Tour Mixed Games series, a $5,100 8-game tournament. Friedman overcame a final table that featured fellow top pros Nick Schulman and Toby Lewis, and finished the job by defeating Tal Avivi heads-up. He earned $170,200 and a trophy for his efforts. The victory brought the Ohio native’s career tournament earnings to nearly $5 million and added another mixed game title to an already impressive list of poker accomplishments. Additionally, Friedman picks up 576 points towards the CardPlayer Player of the Year race, presented by Global Poker. The 42-year-old already has five World Series of Poker bracelets, all coming in non-hold’em events. That includes back-to-back-to-back victories in the prestigious $10,000 dealers choice event from 2018-21, with the event not
