HAVEN, Wis. -- Lake Michigan beckons on most holes at Whistling Straits. On a hot summer afternoon, the huge body of water looks particularly inviting. And for John Daly, after blowing up on the par-3 seventh hole on Friday, the water was calling his club’s name. Daly carded a 10 on the 221-yard par 3 at Whistling Straits. Yep, a 10.
