Police arrested 32-year-old Donny Ubiera Saturday evening.

A longtime staff member in the Hickory School system was remembered this afternoon with a dedication in his memory at the school he loved so much.

“We were of differing skin color and differing background to some extent, but we became family,” a neighbor said.

Authorities found the bodies within 200 yards of each other earlier this week.
