The Springs Community Presbyterian Church parking lot was full and the cars were lined up as far as you could see on Old Stone Highway on Saturday, as Springs Food Pantry held its annual “Chowdah Chowdown”. A $40 donation entitled guests to their choice of two 16 ounce portions from 21 chowders made by top local chefs, a 16 ounce beer from Springs Brewery and crackers. On August 21st, 2021, Lily Hevesh and her documentary film, “Lily Topples the World” was screened this past Saturday at Guild Hall as part of HamptonsFilm’s SummerDocs series.

On August 14th, 2021, the East Hampton Library’s 17th Annual Authors Night event was held under a grand tent on the Library lawn. Guests mingled with authors at the book signing cocktail party and had their books personally inscribed, with all proceeds benefitting the Library. The funds raised at Authors Night are used for essential programs and services at the East Hampton Library throughout the next year.

On Thursday, August 12, the East Hampton Historical Society invited landscape architect Perry Guillot to be a guest speaker at their annual Summer Lecture Luncheon, held at the Maidstone Club overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Over 250 guests were enthralled by Mr. Guillot’s presentation of some of his most remarkable projects. Moderated by designer David Netto, this lively and informative luncheon explored, illuminated, and celebrated the beauty and rich history that unites us as a community.

On Sunday afternoon at the Chabad of the Hamptons in East Hampton, guests had a chance to brush up on their art skills, as they took turns pouring cups of paint over the eight foot tall Kiddush Cup created by Yitzchock Moully (The Pop Art Rabbi). The event was the Chabad of the Hamptons’ 11th Annual Benefit, called “Overflowing Blessings”. Elon Gold provided the comedic entertainment.

On Friday, August 6th, supporters, family and friends gathered at the dramatic Sag Harbor waterfront home of Susan and Tim Davis, for a Charity Cocktail Reception benefiting Fighting Chance Free Cancer Counseling. Founder Duncan Darrow presented an award to Christopher Carey for his special generosity.
