BLUE RIVER, Ore. -- There are all kinds of groups helping fire victims in the long road to recovery.

Two years after the Holiday Farm Fire swept through the McKenzie River area, residents are still picking up the pieces -- and returning to normal life.

The wife of a volunteer firefighter who helped people evacuate the night the fire broke out wrote a book about that night.

The 62-year-old started calling the company when he was a child. It’s a tradition he’s kept up for 50 years. And, every day, a man named Johnny Kirschenmann answers.

“There’s no evidence this is intentional,” Attorney Dan Thenell said. “It’s been described as accidental since the beginning of this incident.”
