Growing up, I felt defined by one letter: X. This X haunted my childhood. It was one of the 26 letters teachers could put in their comment box on our report cards. Somehow, with only a 3.8 percent chance of getting this X, I got it every year. 

With both teams being 5-6, last year, the outcome of the opening game of 2024 could have been unpredictable to the fans who lined the bleachers., But by the end of the first quarter, the momentum was on the Tigers side and remained that way as the green and white defeated the Indians 42-2.

Savannah Boneta was born in Fishers; however, she did not grow up in the Hoosier light. She knew what the Indy 500 was, but she had never attended the race or the parade. After submitting her application and completing multiple interview rounds, Boneta was selected for the 500 Festival Princess Program. Each year, 33 college-aged women are selected and serve as ambassadors for the race, their hometown and their college/university.
