Don't cancel your plans Wednesday, but keep an eye to the sky as a few spotty storms will develop. the coverage of showers and storms will likely go up Thursday into Friday.

The pattern will remain unsettled as we wrap up the week and go into the weekend. While not everyone will see rain everyday, the chance will be there. A risk of severe storms arrives early next week.

Dry through Monday, then wet weather comes back in on Tuesday. Chance for showers on Wednesday and Thursday. A nice Mother's Day weekend is on tap.

The break from the summertime heat continues through Monday with highs in the 80s. The next best chance for showers and storms arrives Sunday night into Monday morning. Heat to return late next week.

Dangerous heat continues through this weekend. Modest relief from the heat arrives by mid next week with a midweek bump in storm chances as well.

Heat alerts continue today and will be around on Tuesday as well. A cool front will move in Tuesday with another front on the way next weekend with even more relief to our temperatures.

Chances for rain and thunderstorms increase across the region today behind a cold front with chances less widespread and lower going into the weekend.
