BLACKSBURG, Va. — One week after three Marshall quarterbacks got into the game in a win over Stony Brook, only one played against Virginia Tech.

The 2025 meeting between the teams will be the 22nd all-time meeting between the programs and the first since the start of the 2020 season when they met in the opener, a game Marshall won 59-0.

"I'll be honest, probably the best team I've seen on film, ever, and I'm not just saying that to get everybody excited. They're really good," Marshall head coach Charles Huff said. "They are better than the 2021 national championship (runner-up) team that we played at Alabama."
