Audit manager joins Bohemia firm

Vicki Metz of Bayville has been appointed to the board of Friends of Oheka, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of Oheka Castle in Huntington. The Bayville resident is an adjunct journalism professor at SUNY Old Westbury and was the Long Island bureau manager at WABC-TV/ Ch. 7 for more than 20 years.

Dr. Richard S. Zito has been elected president of the Suffolk County Medical Society. The Bay Shore resident is a family practitioner who is on the staff at Southside Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center. He is a past president of the Suffolk Academy of Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association.

The Garden City Hotel has promoted Peter Pizarro from restaurant director of Rein restaurant to catering manager for the hotel. The Mount Sinai resident is responsible for planning, organizing and executing special events for the hotel.
