Grayson, 49, is set to die Nov. 21, within a 30-hour timeframe. He was convicted with three other men for the brutal Feb. 22, 1994, slaying and mutilation of Vicki Lynn DeBlieux.
The crash happened at 3:20 p.m. Saturday on Arnold Road near Prospect Road, about five miles east of Hazel Green, in Madison County, troopers reported.
The crash happened about 11:46 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Interstate 565 and Jordan Lane near the 17 mile marker within the city limits of Huntsville.

Maples was convicted after confessing to police he shot two of his friends,
Stacy Terry and Barry Robinson, each in the head twice without any known
provocation and in his family’s front yard in Morgan County in 1995.
Legal battles over an agreement have stretched from Alabama to New York since
2017 and have included the question of whether the Alabama Space Science Exhibit
Commission – which operates the rocket center – should be immune from legal
challenges.
