For tonight, a 48 First Alert Weather Day for strong/severe thunderstorms. Between 10 P.M. for locations west and ending by 4 A.M. for locations east. Damaging winds, heavy rainfall and isolated tornadoes are possible. Be weather alert and have a way to receive updates throughout the night. In addition to thunderstorms, gusty winds in excess of 35 MPH possible not associated with thunderstorm activity. A Wind Advisory for the area through noon Sunday. A few icy spots this morning, otherwise mostly sunny

For today, very cold temperatures with areas of fog this morning may once again resulting in icy conditions. Bridges, overpasses, secondary roads would be the highest concerns for slippery conditions this morning. Eventually, temps reach 40 degrees with mostly sunny conditions. By 8 or 9 A.M., the chance for roads to be icy will end. Tonight, areas of fog and cold. Mid to upper 20s. A few icy spots Monday morning, primarily more of a walking out the door, sidewalk may be slippery as opposed to driving issues. Monday, partly to mostly cloudy. A storm system along the Gulf of Mexico will bring rain as for north as Birmingham, our area stays dry, but there will be clouds at times. Temps around 40 degrees. Another very cold night Monday. For tonight, a clear and colder night. Temps tumble into the 20s. Widespread frost likely. Plenty of sunshine for both Thursday and Friday, high temps both days in the mid to upper 40s. Overnight low temps in the 30s. It will be cold, but just slightly colder than expected for this time of year. For the weekend, Saturday will be the coldest day through Sunday.
