No. 4 Montana State faces its second consecutive road opponent Saturday as the team heads to Greeley, Colo., for a matchup with the Northern Colorado Bears.
No. 5 Montana State returns home Saturday and is coming off a dominant road victory over ranked Northern Arizona, while Idaho State narrowly lost 42-38 to No. 4 Montana last week.
Montana State is coming off a statement 57-3 win over Eastern Washington a week ago to start conference play, a game in which the offense shined and the defense dominated.
"You could look at it two ways. You could really have this sense of panic, or you could have this sense of urgency," Montana State coach Brent Vigen said about starting the season 0-2.
It's a game the FCS world has been waiting all offseason for as No. 3 Montana State hosts No. 2 South Dakota State in Bobcat Stadium on Saturday night.
"I'd be curious to see how these guys are going to bow their neck and stand up to (Oregon)," Montana State defensive coordinator Shawn Howe said about his team.
The Bobcats' special teams unit returns a couple key veterans, including an All-American, while adding some freshmen who made strides this fall while having big shoes to fill this upcoming season.
