Oberammergau Germany is a small village of about 5,000 where every 10 years residents perform Jesus’ passion play. For nearly 400 years in the Bavarian town of Oberammergau, a decennial presentation of the passion play, which tells the story of Jesus’s last days in Jerusalem, as well as his trial, death, and resurrection.
