Emergency personnel found the woman and her dogs partially submerged in freezing water about 35 feet from the shoreline at Timber Creek Dog Park, police said.

The burglary occurred at the Zales store in Philadelphia Mills mall just before 1 p.m., when two men entered the store and broke into display cases with a sledgehammer, police said.

William Ciccoli Jr., 42, was struggling with Cpl. Anthony Fischer while another officer was attempting to place him under arrest when he grabbed Fischer’s gun and fired one shot, authorities said.

The park ranger, a 40-year-old man, was stabbed in the head and near his right eye during a scuffle with a man at 18th and Walnut Streets in Rittenhouse Square at 4:18 p.m., police said.

The crashes occurred just hours before a vigil for traffic victims was held Sunday in Center City at the site of where a CHOP doctor was killed Wednesday night riding her bike in a bike lane.

The child was stabbed in the left forearm outside on South 18th Street, just off Spruce Street. Earlier in the day, a woman was stabbed in the chest and finger near 13th and Locust.

Officers heard “several” gunshots when they responded to a 911 call reporting more than 500 juveniles gathered at Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue just after 4:30 p.m., police said.

The officers were shot after attempting to pull over a pickup truck at Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard.
