Racing at Aqueduct is expected to resume Thursday after a meeting Monday between the Jockeys’ Guild and New York Racing Association management was deemed “productive,” according to representatives from both organizations.

The final eight races of Aqueduct’s Sunday card were canceled when the jockeys refused to ride, citing myriad differences with management of the New York Racing Association. 

Full Screen, a six-length winner of a third-level allowance here on Thursday, may have earned a start in the $150,000 Queens County Stakes on Dec. 27 at Aqueduct.

The connections of Fast Market were slow to figure out exactly what their filly wanted to do, and now that they have, they hope to end the 3-year-old filly's season with a stakes victory in Sunday's Grade 3, $175,000 Pebbles at Aqueduct.

Though Sunday is the last scheduled day of turf racing, it is possible that could be extended by one week, weather permitting.

The results of the Breeders' Cup may have done more to cloud than clear up the picture as far as Eclipse Awards for 2025 are concerned, and some of the stronger candidates in certain divisions may be those who didn't participate in the two-day event.
