The University of Utah is eyeing a rare piece of property next to campus — and prepared to pay $21M

The most significant update, according to the school's new agreement with the Ute Indian Tribe: Broader scholarship eligibility for Ute students, with more money on the table.

The firms, Huron and McKinsey, are both known for suggesting staff cuts as a solution.

A U. official said the campus overhaul is meant to offer “more consistent and better quality” food trucks. Longtime vendors say they got little notice.

Two University of Utah students died within the first week of classes under separate and tragic circumstances, the school said.

The change follows Tribune reporting that documented how much the U. spent on travel expenses for Janet Randall, the spouse of U. President Taylor Randall.

Most students weren’t alerted that the Sandy campus would shutter until late last week.

A PETA official said the animals died a “a slow, agonizing suffocation.”

Critical infrastructure, including power lines and water systems, are also threatened.

“It’s been a long time coming,” said Bob Carter, the U.’s senior vice president for health sciences and CEO of University of Utah Health.
