The First Alert Weather Day is being designated due to the potential for very heavy rainfall and localized flooding concerns over the next two or three days.

The tornado warnings have expired but dangerous flood conditions continue across the South Plains.

Models disagree on Saturday’s weather forecast, but the consensus is that we could see a few showers and thunderstorms once again. Some of the storms could become severe.

A dust storm warning is in effect until 7:15 PM CDT for US-84 near Post, TX; US-84 near Slaton, TX and US-87 near Tahoka, TX.

Storms, flooding and large hail moved through the South Plains Monday evening.

Strong thunderstorms will continue marching east and out of our viewing area overnight. Severe weather risks have diminished although lightning and strong wind gusts remain possible across the Eastern half of the area.Lows drop into the 50’s overnight with rain coming to an end.
