After dropping on Tuesday and Wednesday, the average rate for 30-year refinance mortgages continued its decline on Thursday, this time by 28 basis points. Rates among other refi loan types mostly declined as well.
The average rate on 30-year mortgages fell again, for a fifth straight day, to 6.49%, the lowest rate since February 1. Most other new purchase rates were also down on Thursday.
