Some businesses across Green Country will be offering special deals to Veterans and active military members to honor their service this Veterans Day.

Mayor G.T. Bynum, Tulsa Police Chief Dennis Larsen, and Tulsa Fire Chief Michael Baker shared the news of the new facility on Wednesday that will serve as the headquarters for several departments. Relocation is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025 and is estimated to be fully operational in 2026.

U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson said Thomas recruited vulnerable young women to work as prostitutes from 2019 to 2022. Thomas’ operation spanned four states, including Oklahoma.

Jack Blair, the City of Tulsa’s attorney, said the instructions for the fund transfer were hacked and they found this out when the city was contacted. “The vendor email used to provide the payment instructions was hacked,” said Blair. “And I can report that the FBI is investigating, and the city is to strengthen interchange processes as a result.”

The allegations involve the preschool program at Pryor First United Methodist Church.

Scared, anxious, and confused were the words parents used to describe what they felt when they read the email or got the call about a weapon at their child’s school.

The gun was not brought into the school or used to threaten other students or staff. SPS said criminal charges and disciplinary measures will be pursued.

A new statue planned for Tulsa’s Cry Baby Hill is getting a lot of reaction online and most of it is negative.

Republican State Representative Mark McBride said the OSDE might be misusing billions in federal and state funding.

Officers went to the motel and spoke with other concerned citizens who secured the juvenile. Police said Walker assaulted the juvenile and this was the fourth time he helped her escape DHS custody. Officers also found guns and marijuana in the motel room.
