As part of our summer series, Good Morning Tucson is taking you north to Biosphere 2. It's a 37 mile drive from the eastside of town, which should only take you a couple gallons of gas.

Expect isolated to scattered storms today focused on locales mainly south and east of Tucson. Temps will be above normal this week with the potential for extreme heat by the middle of the week.

Low-grade monsoon pattern through the weekend with high temperatures around normal. A slight uptick in moisture will keep storm chances in the forecast through early next week.

Thunderstorm chances continue through the work week, with highest chances east and south of Tucson. Chances begin to decrease Friday as dry air pushes in through the weekend. Highs stay hot!

Storms will increase in strength and coverage today through Friday across the majority of Southeast Arizona. Then, expect daily shower and storm chances into next week with day to day variability.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will initially develop across Cochise county late this morning, becoming scattered to numerous as they expand northwest toward the Tucson Area this afternoon.

Expect daily chances for showers and thunderstorms with day to day variability on coverage and intensity through mid week with a drying trend later in the week.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms through the weekend with higher chances generally south and east of Tucson. Increasing storm chances to southeastern Arizona next week.

Scattered thunderstorms expected this afternoon and evening across portions of Santa Cruz and south central Pima county. Then increasing moisture Thursday through Saturday areawide.

Moisture has moved into the region which will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms today through the end of the work week. Temperatures will drop to below normal by Thursday and Friday
