A significant percentage of voters in Washington State's largest county answered the call to get their ballots in, more than doubling voter turnout in the span of just a few hours.

Those who aren't steeped in Emerald City politics might look at the initial results for Mayor of Seattle and conclude the incumbent has won reelection. But the challenger can still win with a late ballot surge. That's not only possible or plausible, it's probable.

Though many voters are still undecided about their 2025 choices to oversee the state's largest school district, three of the candidates have leads in their respective races ranging from six to thirty-two points. For Position #7, neither hopeful has an advantage.

In the aggregate, nearly three-fifths of likely November 2025 Seattle voters say they favor renewing a decades-old city-level education levy at a higher level to provide for more preschool seats and bolster childcare subsidies.

49% of likely November 2025 Seattle voters back Evans' candidacy, while only 28% back Davison's reelection bid. Davison's twenty-one point deficit mirrors her lopsided loss in the August Top Two election.

Challenger Katie Wilson has a five point lead over incumbent Mayor Bruce Harrell in the aggregate, 45% to 40%, with 11% not sure. An outright majority of likely voters say they oppose the mayor's reelection, up three points from July.

The company has been accused by its union workers of putting profit over people, creating food deserts in Western Washington neighborhoods and disrupting the lives of hundreds of workers.
