This October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Baptist Health Lexington is touting a new breast cancer risk assessment tool to help women determine their probability of developing the disease based on personal and family history factors. The tool comes as actor Olivia Munn’s recent battle with breast cancer has brought attention to risk assessment methods.

A look back at the 2025 St. Jude Dream Home build in Lexington

WKYT’s Amber Philpott sat down with the President and CEO of God’s Pantry Food Bank, where she posed the question: What is the state of food insecurity in central and eastern Kentucky? His answer was very blunt.

This weekend the St. Jude Dream Home will be open as part of the Grand Tour of Homes. Every dollar we raise through the Dream Home Giveaway goes to the mission of St. Jude, where every day research is ongoing to try and cure childhood cancer. For one doctor at St. Jude his work with cancer survivors is all about making sure they live long healthy lives long after their treatment in Memphis.

An idea in 2014 to get children and adults to explore the forests and creeks around them in Kentucky has been turned into the Red Oaks Forest School.

This weekend you have the chance to tour the 2025 St. Jude Dream Home in Lexington up close for yourself.

As the house takes shape, we want to introduce you to a former patient we met in Memphis, who was so touched by her time at St. Jude as a child that she now works there.

This year’s home is being built on Meadowlark Road in the Homeplace neighborhood off Polo Club in Lexington.
