The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association released a statement saying negotiations concluded without an agreement and that its members will be moving ahead with a province-wide strike on Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to the area of Jane Street and Shoreham Drive, south of Steeles Avenue West, at around 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday with reports a man in his 80s was hit by a car.

Police said evidence of gunfire was located and that gunshots may have been fired from a black car which fled the scene.

Officers were called to the collision at Dixie Road and Matheson Boulevard East around 4:30 p.m.

Toronto police were patrolling the area of Woodward Avenue and Uphill Avenue on March 2 around 2:30 a.m. when they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds on a snowbank.

Toronto paramedics said the boy was taken to a hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

The Markham Centre campus will be located just north of Highway 407 and west of Kennedy Road.

According to a letter by Toronto City Manager Chris Murray, 24 facilities and 36 rooms could be used by the TDSB or the TCDSB if needed.
