Sculptor Forrest Myers was on hand in Albany Friday to direct the reinstallation of his metal work titled "Dice," which is part of the Empire State Plaza Art Collection.
The bridges are part of an improvement plan for the park, which was largely funded through a $150,000 state grant secured by Sen. Patricia Fahy, with assistance from the Capital Trails Alliance.
The party, hosted by the Albany Black Chamber of Commerce and Albany Community Land Trust, honored the 1865 anniversary of the day enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, learned of their emancipation.
