Gilbert was named The Day's 2024 All-Area Girls' Cross Country Runner of the Year, the third time she's earned the honor.

"He's about the perfect model of what you want in every aspect," East Lyme coach Mike Flynn said of Sean, the Vikings' senior leader. "He's built to run. He loves to run. It's something it's pretty clear he's going to do for the rest of his life. And he's also a great teammate.
