The Broward School Board voted to maintain bonuses for administrators at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High through 2033-34.

School superintendents in Broward and Palm Beach counties visited schools on the first day. They said the day went smoothly and students and teachers were happy to be back.

Broward schools will continue to focus on improving student education, amid budget cuts and dwindling enrollment, Superintendent Howard Hepburn said.
