Federal and local law enforcement authorities are investigating what caused the Sunday night fire, which came after a series of attacks against Tesla in rebuke of its chief executive, Elon Musk.

The fires, which the police said were intentionally set, are the latest in a series of attacks against Elon Musk’s company.

The bay looked “like it was boiling,” said a boat captain with a whale-watching company in Monterey Bay, Calif. He captured video of the dolphins swimming off the coast.

Investigators are exploring whether blowing dust contributed to the 12-vehicle crash on Saturday that also left two people in critical condition.

The announcement that the chain would close all 800 of its stores in 49 states comes after a period of financial turmoil.

Officials said one person was missing and two people were hospitalized after the boat, with six aboard, overturned on Sunday in the Ambrose Channel.

The ride share driver was held at gunpoint and forced to drive over 1,300 miles from Texas to Florida, prosecutors said.

One plane landed “uneventfully” while the other crashed near a runway, then caught fire, investigators said.

Alan W. Filion, 18, of Lancaster, Calif., pleaded guilty to making false threats of mass violence, which prosecutors said prompted large police deployments and, in some cases, unnecessary detentions.
