Saturday will once again give us highs near 90 degrees although Sunday will start to feel a bit different as a cold front moves through with much cooler conditions to begin the workweek.

After Sunday morning could bring us lows in the 30s again, a warming trend will begin for much of next week.

Areas of smoke will continue to filter through the region through Thursday as a chance of thunderstorms will move through by Thursday evening.

A few showers could become possible in western Siouxland Monday night as temperatures will warm a bit as the week goes along.

While an isolated shower can't be ruled out Tuesday evening, the main headlines will continue to be the heat and humidity until the late-week cooldown arrives.

While our latest storm system didn't produce much severe weather, it did put down some heavy amounts of rain.

Heat and humidity will become more impressive as we get later into the week with some nighttime storm chances by Wednesday night and Thursday night.

Other than a couple of nighttime shower chances this week, our weather pattern quiets down a bit as warmer weather builds in by the end of the week.
