Colder air will continue to filter into the region this weekend and Saturday will even bring a few light showers back through the KTIV viewing area.

More clouds move into the forecast over the weekend a couple of small rain chances could move in as well.

Saturday will once again give us highs near 90 degrees although Sunday will start to feel a bit different as a cold front moves through with much cooler conditions to begin the workweek.

While temperatures did cool down for the first full day of fall on Tuesday, a warm and dry weather pattern is about to take over.

Saturday will be the dry day of the weekend with warm and humid conditions only to be followed by a chance of some thunderstorms forming as the day goes along on Sunday.

After Sunday morning could bring us lows in the 30s again, a warming trend will begin for much of next week.

Areas of smoke will continue to filter through the region through Thursday as a chance of thunderstorms will move through by Thursday evening.

A few showers could become possible in western Siouxland Monday night as temperatures will warm a bit as the week goes along.

While an isolated shower can't be ruled out Tuesday evening, the main headlines will continue to be the heat and humidity until the late-week cooldown arrives.

While our latest storm system didn't produce much severe weather, it did put down some heavy amounts of rain.
