After a few storms move through the region Tuesday night, we'll see temperatures hover close to average for a few more days before a big warming trend moves in.

Chances of thunderstorms will stay hit and miss early this week with decent temperature swings continuing.

Heat takes over on Tuesday which could lead to severe thunderstorm chances by Tuesday night.

Warm weekend ahead before dangerous heat arrives Tuesday and Wednesday

A few rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible this Thursday night and Friday with warm temperatures and high humidity.

Increased chances of thunderstorms will come our way through Friday, and parts of the area could end up seeing some severe storm chances.

While Thursday will be another pleasantly cool day, rain is expected to take over our Siouxland weather from Thursday night into Friday.

Areas of frost could form by Wednesday morning and temperatures will still stay below average through at least Friday.

Scattered storms will develop from Monday afternoon into evening although the severity should not be like what we saw with the severe storm outbreak on Sunday.
