Rockies left-hander Sean Sullivan’s major league debut was impressive but short-lived due to a stomach illness, and Colorado lost, 6-4, to the Athletics on Friday night at Las Vegas Ballpark.

The Rockies, especially manager Warren Schaeffer, insist they aren’t looking at the 2025 season through their rearview mirror. The past is the past. That 119-loss team is not relevant to the current team.

Tuesday night looked a lot like 2025.

Maybe cheese steaks don’t agree with Kyle Freeland. Or maybe it’s just that the Phillies have his number. Whatever the case, Freeland struggles at Citizens Bank Park.
