From person-to-person coaching and intensive hands-on seminars to interactive online courses and media reporting, Poynter helps journalists sharpen skills and elevate storytelling throughout their careers.

Cynthia DuBose, a McClatchy senior vice president, will kick off the weeklong seminar with an exclusive keynote conversation.

Cooper will receive the medal at Poynter’s annual fundraising gala, the Bowtie Ball, on Nov. 18 at the J.W. Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida.

Poynter designed this program to diversify the ranks of people who lead the media industry. Congratulations to this group of 31 leaders.

These 31 leaders will convene at Poynter March 26-31 for a week of transformational learning, led by new program director Kate Cox.

The board consists of a diverse cross-section of media executives and award-winning journalists who advise Poynter on trends and opportunities.

The Media Transformation Challenge (MTC) Program: A Poynter Institute Executive Fellowship is a yearlong fellowship and leadership program designed for senior news executives. Fellows identify and pursue the most significant business performance challenge they face and deliver real results with help from MTC’s trademark tools, concepts, coaches, peer group, and alumni network. This program has over 350 active alumni with strong ties to the program leadership and coaches.
