The Franklin Fire in Malibu Canyon spread to over 2,600 acres by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Pepperdine officials also temporarily activated shelter-in-place protocols.

Roughly 82,400 residents remain under evacuation orders or warnings across Los Angeles County.

So far, 11 victims have been confirmed to have died in the two biggest fires. Conditions are still ripe for additional fires to spark and spread.
