This is probably the worst time ever for PC building. Here’s how and why I think the hobby (and the market) still have a future to look forward to.

Plus a NAS that packs in AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 495

OLED-screen options offered in blue and gray, with 120 Hz IPS on other SKUs.

RAM is still ridiculously expensive, but there are some incredible combo discounts that help take the sting out of a new PC build.

An SSD with NFC-based security that lets you grant read-only or read / write access to up to nine other users

A no-nonsense TKL from a respected brand, at a bargain-basement price

An affordable laptop that looks and feels like a premium ultraportable

A unique exercise in cost-no-object computing, with lots of screens, several pounds of copper, and an open case that might necessitate a desk upgrade.

Don’t expect the best performance or battery life, but there’s still a lot to like, especially if you can get it for its $799 sale price.

Got a new laptop (or a new watch band) and getting kicked to the lock screen as you try to type?
