A lawsuit already hit pause on a rule restricting non-domiciled CDLs. Now, the feds want to hit pause on the lawsuit during the rulemaking process.

A technology company wants FMCSA to remove a regulation that has been a hurdle for the deployment of driverless trucks.

According to the DOT, the California DMV admitted to “illegally issuing 17,000 non-domiciled CDLs to dangerous foreign drivers.”

Soon, brokers will have to comply with a final rule issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration all the way back in 2023.

A senator says the current system that allows electric vehicles to avoid paying into the Highway Trust Fund “doesn’t make any sense.”
