Gravesite of Oak Grove Jane Doe exhumed

Authorities on Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, exhumed the remains of Oak Grove Jane Doe at Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. Her dismembered body was found in the Willamette River in 1946 and thought to have been discarded, but researchers tracked her burial to this site earlier this year. The grave, in the far north end of the cemetery beneath a tree canopy, shows a patch of dry dirt with nearby cracked concrete and tractor tracks.
