A Strictly Come Dancing contestant has revealed she took sea sickness tablets to prepare for a live show performance. Alex Kingston and professional partner Johannes Radebe impressed judges on Saturday’s live show (1 November), scoring 35 out of a possible 40 points for their salsa to Horny by Hot ‘n’ Juicy and Mousse T. Speaking about the energetic routine, the actor revealed she had sea sickness bands on all through rehearsals and took two tablets before the live show. Appearing on Strictly It Takes Two on Tuesday (4 November), the actor told host Fleur East: “I realised I couldn't wear them on the live show so on show night I actually popped two tablets.”

After stealing the limelight the previous night, by passing wind as Claudia Winkleman explained their challenge, the actor again had her fellow contestants in fits of laughter with her wailing expressions to yet again steal the show.

This is the moment a man who used an SMS blaster to spam commuters on the London Underground with fraudulent text messages is confronted by police. Police were alerted after a member of the public received a spam text message while travelling on the Victoria Line at around 5.30pm on 1 July. The text claimed to be from Parcel Mail and invited the reader to click on a link to update their details in order to receive a package. Users who did so would then be asked to enter in their personal details. The member of the public was familiar with SMS blasters and grew suspicious of Kong Ji Chen, 31, when he noticed him loitering on the platform with a large suitcase. Police were alerted and confronted Chen, who was arrested at the scene. Chen, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 24 weeks imprisonment at London Crown Court on Wednesday (15 October).

A doctor has explained how a simple sweetcorn trick can reveal a lot about your gut health. Doctor Hilary Jones, who regularly appears on ITV’s Good Morning Britain and Lorraine, explained more about the test involving a small number of sweetcorn kernels. “Sweetcorn is not digested by the gut,” he explains. “It comes out at the other end looking very much the same. “If passing in 12 to 24 hours, your gut is probably pretty healthy, but if longer you might be having a bit of a sluggish gut.” He added: “It is a way of assessing bowel transit time, with the time it takes to go through.”

Take That have announced a huge The Circus comeback tour with stadium dates across the UK. Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald confirmed they will be hitting the road in 2026 with the show that was originally staged 2009 and broke records as the fastest-selling tour in history. More than 17 years later, the band will revisit the huge live production which they say was one of their favourites to perform together. "In the years since, we've talked many times about how much we'd love to do it again one day," they said. Support comes from The Script, who went on the 2009 tour, and Belinda Carlisle. Tickets for the UK and Ireland stadium tour will go on sale on 26 September at 9:30am.

Jeremy Clarkson joked about his use of Mounjaro as the presenter struggled to stop his trousers from falling down at the National Television Awards. The 65-year-old walked on stage to collect his award for Factual Entertainment for Clarkson’s Farm on Wednesday (10 September), and told the crowd at London’s O2 arena: “I should explain I'm on Mounjaro, my trousers are falling down.” His partner Lisa Hogan then grabbed him as he said: “Lisa's going to hold my trousers up whilst I make a very short speech.” Clarkson previously revealed how he has lost two stone since using the weight loss injection.

Bruce Willis' wife has defended her decision to move the actor out of their family home following his dementia diagnosis. Emma Heming Willis acknowledged the judgement she has faced online since revealing her husband no longer lived at home when she appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday (9 September), but said the decision was made in his best interest. She told Michael Strahan: "It was the safest and best decision, not just for Bruce, but also for our two young girls." Ms Heming Willis added: "And you know, it's not really up for debate."
