    Strictly Come Dancing contestant Alex Kingston struggled to fight back tears during Saturday’s live show after her “hardest” week. The actor told host Claudia Winkleman that she is “numerically dyslexic” and has therefore struggled to dance to music without lyrics. Winkleman reassured her following her Paso Doble on Saturday (8 November), which judge Craig Revel Horwood described as “middle of the road”. The judge said: “I feel you could have gone a lot further. It ended up a little bit middle of the road.” Alex scored a total of 30 out of 40.

    A Strictly Come Dancing contestant has revealed she took sea sickness tablets to prepare for a live show performance. Alex Kingston and professional partner Johannes Radebe impressed judges on Saturday’s live show (1 November), scoring 35 out of a possible 40 points for their salsa to Horny by Hot ‘n’ Juicy and Mousse T. Speaking about the energetic routine, the actor revealed she had sea sickness bands on all through rehearsals and took two tablets before the live show. Appearing on Strictly It Takes Two on Tuesday (4 November), the actor told host Fleur East: “I realised I couldn't wear them on the live show so on show night I actually popped two tablets.”

    This is the moment a man who used an SMS blaster to spam commuters on the London Underground with fraudulent text messages is confronted by police. Police were alerted after a member of the public received a spam text message while travelling on the Victoria Line at around 5.30pm on 1 July. The text claimed to be from Parcel Mail and invited the reader to click on a link to update their details in order to receive a package. Users who did so would then be asked to enter in their personal details. The member of the public was familiar with SMS blasters and grew suspicious of Kong Ji Chen, 31, when he noticed him loitering on the platform with a large suitcase. Police were alerted and confronted Chen, who was arrested at the scene. Chen, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 24 weeks imprisonment at London Crown Court on Wednesday (15 October).

More than 17 years later, the band will revisit the huge live production which they say was one of their favourites to perform together. "In the years since, we've talked many times about how much we'd love to do it again one day," they said. Support comes from The Script, who went on the 2009 tour, and Belinda Carlisle.
