As part of a tour of the state, Minnesota Senate President Bobby Joe Champion visited Willmar to speak with small business owners who were recipients of aid through the Promise Act.

The Kandiyohi County board awarded a bid for construction of a bridge in Southwest Willmar. The bridge connects County Road 55 to County Road 5 near the Minnesota Highway 23 entrance.
Tepetonka Hospitality submitted a proposal for the leasing of county property on U.S. Highway 71. This land would be used for Tepetonka Ranch, a year-round exclusive hospitality site.
Solar panels were installed at several Willmar School District locations over the summer. The panels are expected to lead to more than $1 million in savings over the course of 40 years.
