During the July Harbor Management Commission meeting in the Mazza room at Greenwich Town Hall, members were briefed on a meeting with Town Officials, State Officials and members of the Rocky Point Club to discuss a request from a local shell fisherman for $200 fees for longtime moorings that to date have no permits.

Kids of all ages got into the action. Some were solo affairs, others reflected family or neighborhood efforts. The end results featured some tremendous creativity. SandBlast 2014 reflects a 30 year collaboration between the Greenwich Arts Council and the Town's Parks Rec Dept.

Saturday was a mild overcast day, perfect not only for SandBlast 2014, but for the dune restoration project with volunteers led by Friends of Greenwich Point.

The Goggins family of Greenewich adopted Sassy from North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY years ago. This July they returned to the no-kill operation that rescues from the NY metro area, as well as puppy mills, international dogs, and dogs from southern states.

Greenwich Dance Studio opened in Cos Cob on Sept. 15 in a space that was formerly Callahan Bros Movers warehouse.

A crowd of students gathered in the courtyard outside Greenwich High School’s main entrance on Tuesday to voice support for the public School Strong movement, which emerged in recent weeks in response to the appointment of Betsy deVos as Education Secretary. Ms deVos is an ardent supporter of using public dollars to pay for private school tuition, specifically through a voucher system.
