The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services partnered with CHESS Health and Diamond Mind to launch an app that provides access to trained peers, moderated online communities, daily check-ins and coping tools to support recovery.

Hundreds of veterans and their families recently received free dental care through Nebraska’s Veterans Mission of Mercy Dental Event with more than 2,500 dental services were available.

Massachusetts launched the Massachusetts Veterans Legacy Trail to honor the service and sacrifice of veterans and military personnel from the Revolutionary War to the present. The trail catalogs more than 1,200 war memorials across the state.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration recently received a national award for its work on veteran advocacy done through the Governor’s Advisory Council on Veterans Services.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed legislation to reorganize the existing Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to improve focus on veteran matters, such as delivering housing, health care and mental health services for vets and their families.

The Wyoming Air National Guard’s 153rd Airlift Wing will host Discovery Day this month– the largest science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics experience in the state. Its focus is to inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators.

North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein announced the state is joining the “Do Your Part” initiative, which helps states identify, prioritize, and implement the most effective policies and programs to support military families.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will host its annual Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck Hikes in September to raise awareness on veteran suicide, which is the second leading cause of death in veterans under the age of 45.
