The MOV Regional Airport will be hosting a Kids STEM Day Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. One of the many things that participants can look forward to during the event is an airshow.

Kay Grose is one of the longest serving volunteers of the BACF and has been involved with them since the late 1990′s and says that working to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis “,,,quickly became an internal passion.”

According to Amy Phelps with the MOV Health Department, until clean-up and repairs are finished, alternative means of contacting the Health Department and locating appointments will be implemented.

The festival begins Friday and will last through Sunday evening.

Amy Phelps from the health department says that this alert is only precautionary at this time and is purely intended to make the public aware.

Dr. Jaymie Danford, an Associate Veterinarian at Boxers Meds and Fixits says that it is important to look out for your pets when it gets hot outside.

Bea Corra is the living co-founder and current longest-serving volunteer of the MOV Multi-Cultural Festival.

According to a press release on the City of Parkersburg’s Facebook page, the city has terminated its contract with USA Management for the operation of both city pools.

Cheri Seevers, who is the director of the festival, explained that the festival board doesn’t currently have a chairman for the specific committee that would normally oversee this issue.

The event will continue until 11 o’clock on Friday and go from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
