The owners of the Hilltop joint are veterans of the local industry, and they know how to build a bar.

The bakery has amassed an avid fan base at local farmers markets, but a Greek fast-casual restaurant will become its first storefront.

The owners have leased the building to a local bakery. They’ll keep cooking at their new-this-year burger truck.

The restaurant became one of Tacoma’s busiest when it opened in 2018. The new location will allow the team to do even more, said co-owner Abe Fox.

The Gig Harbor-based business said it needs to “get more and more focused.”

The duo has big plans for a recognizable location, where the menu will highlight Indian, Creole and Southern flavors.

“To create something beautiful that people actually love and that they remember — it really is quite fun.”

Reyna Filipina Kitchen recently landed a deal in a new Hilltop location, joining a children’s store and a performing arts center.

The former tavern has been transformed into a classy neighborhood lounge with a new kitchen serving cocktail and wine-ready snacks.

The owners took a year-long hiatus but kept their sandwich recipes. They found a bigger location in an inconspicuous location.
