In preparing for Tropical Storm Idalia, Gov. Ron DeSantis has suspended tolls on Florida’s west coast. Effective 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, tolls will be waived for seven days in Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Pasco, Pinellas, Sumter counties, and parts of Orange County.The suspension covers key transportation facilities and aims to facilitate safe evacuations.
