The Kansas plant where the small SUV is built ended production of the Chevrolet Malibu sedan this month ahead of a shift to EV assembly.

These layoffs come after GM in August laid off more than 1,000 salaried employees working in its software and services organization.

The automaker says it will realign "its autonomous driving strategy and prioritize development of advanced driver assistance systems."

The companies didn't specify where the stations will be but said they would go in "strategic locations."

The show will also feature four indoor tracks for ride-along experiences.

Experts say EVs could be less affordable without the incentives and therefore less in-demand.
