Artists and CERN explore the quantum realm.

The “Quantum Visions” art exhibition being hosted at Tabakalera in San Sebastián, Spain celebrates 2025 being proclaimed the “International Year of Quantum Science and Technology” by the United Nations. Eleven artists, including former CERN artists-in-residence, are featured at the exhibit, with works in a variety of mediums that have been inspired by the subatomic world of quantum theory. It sounds like a neat experience, even if my brain hurts just thinking about it. [Image: One of the exhibits is “Entangled binary network (Hello, world!)” by Joan Heemskerk, which “speculates on a quantum internet network connecting two entangled fields.” https://platform.theverge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/03/JH-2024-Helloworld-issuu-spreads-_5-1537x2048-1.jpg?quality=90&strip=all]

“Flying cars” are coming in 2026.

That’s according to the Aeroht subsidiary of EV carmaker Xpeng, which is planning to start mass production of its “land aircraft carrier” next year, The Straits Times reports, hoping to succeed where other consumer flying car projects have failed. The modular offering includes a folding two-seater passenger drone ferried aboard a Cybertruck-looking six-wheeled van. The package is set to cost no more than two million yuan (about $276,000), with 10,000 vehicles expected to be produced each year. [Media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVFoh04nFto]

Elon Musk blames X outages on ‘massive cyberattack.’

The platform has been going down intermittently since around 5:40AM ET on Monday, with no official ETA for when the outages will be resolved, and no details provided about what’s causing the issues. Musk made similar claims about cyberattacks impacting X’s services last year when Spaces crashed out during a scheduled conversation with Donald Trump, though X staffers at the time told The Verge that an attack hadn’t occurred. [Image: At least things have been a little quieter today. https://platform.theverge.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2025/03/Elon-Musk-X-cyberattack.jpg?quality=90&strip=all]
