The Woodlands celebrated the opening of its long-anticipated new pickleball courts at Falconwing Park Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The eight courts are the first dedicated pickleball courts in The Woodlands, which has seen a sharp uptick in local players since 2020. The next few days in Montgomery County are going to be a scorcher, according to the National Weather Service in League City. Temperatures were forecast to reach 96 degrees in Conroe Tuesday. The weather service’s current forecast calls for daily highs of triple-digit heat for the next several days.

Conroe High School is celebrating homecoming this week. As a part of homecoming festivities, the players, cheerleaders, Golden Girls, band members and the homecoming court and duke and duchess for each class participated in a parade at Conroe High’s Moorhead Stadium Wednesday evening. The CHS Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned Friday night at Moorhead Stadium as Conroe takes on Willis at 7 p.m.
