No. 7 Florida (39-12, 17-9 SEC) defeated No. 5 Vanderbilt (35-14, 17-9 SEC) 6-2 Saturday to take the series at home. The Gators’ pitching staff combined for 11 strikeouts while allowing just two runs from the Commodores. 

Florida fell to UConn 75-54 in what ended up a blowout loss for the Gators. Star fifth-year forward Colin Castleton recorded just 12 points on 4-14 shooting in the loss.

Florida defeated Stetson 89-51 Sunday. Five Gators tallied double-digit points in the win, as sophomore guard Will Richard led the way with 14 points. 

Florida fell to Florida State 45-38 Friday in head coach Billy Napier’s first appearance against the Gators’ in-state rival. The game featured 957 total yards of offense in what finished as an absolute barn-burner. 

Florida defeated Florida State Friday night. It's the first consecutive win over the ‘Noles for UF since the Gators won five straight meetings from 2009-2013. Florida star Colin Castleton finished with 25 points and nine rebounds in the contest. 

Florida defeated Kennesaw State 88-78 inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center Friday night. The fifth-year star was the solution for all the Gators’ problems, putting up a career-high 33 points as UF dominated its competitor. 

Although Florida-Georgia is set to remain in Jacksonville for the near future, controversy has emerged surrounding the location of the historic rivalry game. If relocated, the city of Jacksonville could face irreparable damages. 

The Gators fell to LSU for the fourth-straight season, 45-35. Arizona State transfer Jayden Daniels lit up the UF defense to the tune of 349 yards through the air and a career-high six total touchdowns. The Tigers scored on their first six drives of the game.

Just seven months ago the Gators men’s basketball team had no coach, no exciting prospects and no signs of success on the near horizon. However, inside the gym at Florida’s first preseason practices this week, things looked very different. It all starts with new head coach Todd Golden. 

Mistakes made by defensive coordinator Patrick Toney’s unit were too much to overcome as the Gators were sent home from Knoxville still winless in the Southeastern Conference. Now-unranked Florida fell to now-No. 8 Tennessee 38-33. Despite the close score, the game seemed all but over heading into the fourth quarter. The Volunteers held a three possession lead over head coach Billy Napier. 

No. 18 Florida defeated South Florida 31-28 to avoid a disastrous upset Saturday night. Despite allowing more than 400 yards in offense, the Gators would survive to see an above .500 record once more. The Bulls missed a 48-yard field goal which would've sent the game into overtime. 

To just say Richardson delivered would almost be disrespectful. He had a career night. The redshirt sophomore totaled 274 yards through the air and ground and recorded a career high of three rushing touchdowns. Every play was a highlight waiting to happen.
