A number of events are taking place across the Heights, River Oaks and Montrose area in August, including several indoor and outdoor markets, a Japanese pop culture convention and a free screening of a classic Alfred Hitchcock film.

Southern Land Company plans to develop the nearly two acres of land at 2811 Kirby Drive, Houston, into two buildings: a 36-story residential tower and a 75,000-square-foot office building. The project is slated to break ground in spring 2024.

The restaurant, known for its authentic Sichuan cuisine, showcases bold and spicy flavors with dishes such as spicy crispy tofu, shredded pork with spicy garlic sauce, and the chef’s special black tea and camphor duck 52 degrees Celsius, which gets its name from being smoked with black tea and 52 degrees Celsius wine.
