It reached the upper 70s in D.C. today, which was good enough for another record high. A passing cold front is bringing an end to the warmth.

More than 50 million residents of the urban corridor are within the red flag warning.

It’s feeling more like November this weekend. Some rain might even fall.

North winds behind a cold front will help drive comfortable temperatures into the area through tomorrow.

Temperatures today made the low 80s locally, which is about as warm as it gets this late in the year.

The record temperature was more than 20 degrees above average, more like what D.C. would experience in early September, amid an abnormally warm and dry stretch.
